I doodle and sketch musically too. I am a long time kalimba player. I play Hugh Tracey Kalimbas. It’s an instrument you play with your thumbs, and that’s why they are sometimes referred to as thumb pianos. They are great acoustic or plugged in. I like playing through an amp these days. I have a little Vox that works great, gives that little instrument a big voice. I just hooked up the music page on my website. I have a few samples posted if you are interested.
